gold foil care instructions
How to properly display and care for your Gold Foil prints
So you just bought a Gold Foil, that thing costed you a pretty penny, and you want to make sure that it stays pristine for as long as it can.
First, let’s go over what our Gold Foils are and what material it’s made of:
Our Gold Foils are vinyl prints, printed through UV, made with a gold Florentine pattern, and a glossy raised varnish on the line art to top it all off.
Because our Gold Foils are printed through a UV curing process, prolonged exposure to high heat and direct sunlight can make your print warp and crinkle.
If you bought your Gold Foil at a convention and it was handed to you rolled, we suggest that when you unroll it at home, you flatten it by laying it on a flat surface and weigh it down with heavy books. It should flatten out within a day. Please do not roll the print the opposite way, as it could peel or even break the varnish off.
For framing, any standard 18 inch x 24 inch frame should set you up for success!
